APTOS 2022 is a hybrid meeting. Attendees can choose to join us online or on-site in Shenyang, China. Online registration is FREE while there is a registration fee of US$100 for those who opt to attend the meeting physically.
Friedrich Chen was born in Shanghai. He joined Orbis International in 2018. He now works as Cybersight Manager of China in Orbis International, and he is in charge of the implementation and localization of telemedicine, online learning and mentorship services for eye health professionals across China on Cybersight, as well as the integration of Cybersight and other new telemedicine technologies with on-site projects that connect eye health professionals with new tools and capabilities to deliver better care to their patients in China. Before he joined Orbis, he was a Research Associate in GLG, responsible for providing industrial consultation, data collection and analysis.
Chen graduated as Cand. Mag. with majored in Philosophy from University of Copenhagen in 2017, and he got his bachelor’s degree in Tongji University with same major in 2014.
Dr Hanruo Liu is Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at Beijing Tongren Eye Center, Capital Medical University. She currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Ophthalmology AI Group of the China Medical Equipment Association. She was awarded the Beijing Nova Program of Science and Technology and the Beijing Young Scientist Award, both of which recognize scientists under 35 across all domains in science, technology and education. For her AI work, she won the 1st Prize in the Beijing Science and Technology for Innovation Award in 2019. She was also a key member on the Beijing Strategic Technology Talent Team and a finalist in the Beijing Hospitals Authority Youth Program. She has obtained ten invention patents in the field of AI screening for diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma.
